The Route 11 Corridor

is my latest recording project, which is being laid down at The Rec Shop Studio, in Woodstock, VA. It's got a bunch of new material, plus a new, improved version of 'Lazarus' - wait'll you get a load of this! There's also a very hot version of 'Different World' that's already getting airplay up in NEPA. Contact me via email on the link above, or if you'd like a song sample click here.

Live Interview on WSVG I will be doing a live radio interview on Radio Station WSVG, located in Mount Jackson, VA. The show runs on Tuesday, October 11th, and will feature songs from my upcoming CD "The Route 11 Corridor, as well as a few live tunes. I'll then be hosting the "Locals Live" concert series at the Two Daughter's Cafe in Strasburg, VA on Thursday, October 13th, beginning at 7 pm. This is an opportunity for area musicians and songwriters to show their talents in a very mellow, laid back setting. If you are a poet, songwriter or musician, and you've been looking for a chance to perform, come on by and we'll get you onstage.

The Mountain - A very cool radio station located in Northeastern PA. The Mountain plays songs we just don't get to hear on any of the other stations, which have become so annoyingly sterile. (thanks, clear channel!) My song "Different World" will be featured on their upcoming CD compilation, and should be out by Christmas. The CD will feature some of the finest top notch musicians from NEPA. By the way, "Different World" has been getting some nice radio play up there as well.

Indoe Loop

Is the band I played with when I first moved down here to Virginia. We did a lot of fat spacey jams, as well as many of the songs in the current lineup. Our debut CD is also available in a limited run. Click on the link and you can get the whole band history, its various lineups, and some nice pictures too.

Larz from Mars puts Joe Herbert on TV!

(In December, 2004, I did a wacky TV show out in Arlington, VA, and what follows is a brief overview of the shenanegans.)

12-19-04 Report from the Red Planet
The Larz from Mars show went exceedingly well this evening. I'd never even heard of the show, having been in a self-imposed exile from tv for the past couple of years. Anyway, Indoe Loop alum Chris TerraFranca decided to join me for the session, but about 30 seconds before air time, he started freaking out, complaining, worrying and generally making me uncomfortable with his insecurities and strange behavior. I finally turned to him and said 'look dude, you better decide if you wanna do this or not, because I'M DOING IT, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. He finally calmed down and settled in just as the cameras began to roll. We played about 5 tunes, which were taped for an upcoming show they said would be aired later. We then did a brief interview at his desk, which was littered with all sorts of weird and distracting stuff. I really had no idea SPAM now came in so many flavors. Larz himself is a very funny, strange guy, but he's a good interviewer, and I felt pretty good doing the interview segment.
Larz from Mars features a very eclectic mix of live musicians, artists, poets, and just downright strange and creepy people. To be honest, I think we fit right in. Check it out on channel 69, in the greater Washington DC/ Arlington, VA and surrounding Metropolitan area.

PLANETARY UPDATE The Lars from Mars show has been running our segment in their rotation on channel 69. If you or someone you know is in the greater Washington DC/ NVA metropolitan area, why then you simply MUST tune in to the Lars from Mars TV show! If you'd like a copy, shoot me an email and i'll get it out to you pronto.
